Took four tries to get these pictures up. That'll get old fast.
Last Wednesday was Pippin Day!
I love Pippin. He and Kodi met when Kodi first started working at the kennel with me and they formed an instant friendship that Kodi doesn't normally find with other dogs. I can count on one hand the number of dogs that Kodi actually seems to like, as opposed to ignoring or tolerating. Badger and his flyball friend Maggie come to mind but I am hard pressed to think of a fourth.
Hunting ground squirrels together.
Group come command. I have a few of these on video.
So freaking happy all the time
Pippin's heroic pose
Can't stay still long though
The most grown up Badger has ever looked
And, welcoming back Little John the Irish Wolfhound. People commented that he didn't look that big on my last posts, and I suppose due to the flattening of the three dimensional world that happens in photographs he doesn't look all that big. You'll have to trust me that he is. Check him out running with Kodi, they are side by side (actually Kodi nearly got run over, poor guy.)
Badger throwing himself at John's feet and begging for mercy.
Badger submissive grin.
Group shot. Only two dogs look happy in this and the red boy was removed from the situation after this shot. John made him really uncomfortable. He is a huge intact male and Kodi wasn't quite ok with that.

Helper
Badger likes to 'help' me do things.
Kodi doesn't have a helpful bone in his body, but that's ok. I think Badger is all the help I can handle.
Badger likes to help me make the bed by bunching up all the blankets just right.
Yesterday, Badger helped me look for my work glove by pulling all the clean laundry off the shelves.
Last weekend, Badger was helping me cut fabric and now he doesn't have any whiskers left on his right cheek.
Today Badger was helping me fix my furnace and dutifully collected all the dead mice he found in my basement attempting to dispose of them in the best way a dog knows how to dispose of unwanted things, with his digestive system.
Dogs are so useful.
